It's still 'flu season!

Australia is just coming out of its winter and has seen a significant increase in the number of patients with flu - 200,000 cases and more then 100 deaths. The impact of flu on Australia is an accurate indicator of what we might expect during our winter.

The flu vaccination can help protect you and you may be entitled to have it. We still have plenty in stock so if you are over 65, pregnant or in an 'at risk' group, please book an appointment. You can call us on 023 92583302. Please ensure you have your 'flu vaccination at the Medical Centre. Doing so means that a record of your vaccination is put on your medical record, we can check that you are well and we are doing everything possible for your health.

We Can Text You!

We are using our text messaging service more and more, to invite you for a review, blood test or let you know if a GP would like to see you. You can also you use it to cancel appointments, decline or accept services and let us know if we are doing a good job! Please make sure we have your up to date contact details. You can do this via this website or EMIS access if you are registered. Alternatively, call us and let us know.

Cancel Your Appointment!

Every week a large number of patients fail to attend booked appointments. Please let us know as soon as possible if you can’t keep your appointment then we can give it to someone else! We offer a text messaging service which has the option to cancel an appointment so please make sure we have your up to date contact details.

Out of Hours 

When the surgery is closed if you have an urgent problem that cannot wait until we are open again, please call 111. For anything life threatening call 999.

The practice regrets that it cannot offer telephone or email consultations to patients who are outside of the UK, and for legal reasons we are not in a position to deal with any clinical issues involving patients who are abroad. If you are travelling abroad, you should ensure that you have adequate medical/travel insurance.  In the event that you require medical assistance, you should seek a local service and inform your insurance company as appropriate. On return from your travels, please do not hesitate to contact the surgery if you need further assistance and bring any relevant medical information relating to the episode with you. If you’re travelling in Europe, apply for a free European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) which may give you access to reduced cost medical treatment in Europe.
