We do not accept telephone prescription requests in order to avoid inaccuracies.
The doctor likes to review your treatment regularly so we may add a message/invite to the right-hand side of your prescription.
If you have a preferred pharmacy logged in your notes or you are signed up for electronic prescriptions, your prescription will automatically go to the chemist. If no chemist is indicated your prescription will be waiting in reception for you to collect.
NHS England and Fareham and Gosport CCG have issued a directive stating that all patients should have nominated pharmacy and their prescription should be sent electronically. This will have a positive environmental influence in the reduction paper by 100% and it will also reduce problems with prescriptions going missing. We do not have a specific deadline for this to be achieved but as a practice, we are working on it continuously. We will be in touch with you as necessary, as this project progresses.
