All travellers who develop relevant symptoms (for example respiratory symptoms, shortness of breath, cough, fever) however mild, within 14 days of returning or transitioning from mainland China, Thailand, Japan, Republic of Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia or Macau SHOULD NOT ATTEND THE PRACTICE, but should remain at home and immediately call NHS 111 for advice.

We are closed for staff training on Thursday 27th February 2020 from 1pm. For anything urgent that cannot wait until we open again, call 111. For anything life threatening dial 999.

We Can Text You!

We are using our text messaging service more and more, to invite you for a review, blood test or let you know if a GP would like to see you. You can also you use it to cancel appointments, decline or accept services and let us know if we are doing a good job! Please make sure we have your up to date contact details. You can do this via this website or EMIS access if you are registered. Alternatively, call us and let us know.

Cancel Your Appointment!

Every week a large number of patients fail to attend booked appointments. Please let us know as soon as possible if you can’t keep your appointment then we can give it to someone else! We offer a text messaging service which has the option to cancel an appointment so please make sure we have your up to date contact details.

When the surgery is closed if you have an urgent problem that cannot wait until we are open again, please call 111. For anything life threatening call 999.



Dr Bozena Gorecka

L Med MRCGP. Qualified in Warsaw in 1986 and after working as a Radiologist abroad, trained as a GP in the UK, joined the practice as a Registrar in 2003 and then as a partner in 2005. GMC No: 5209435

Dr William D Norris

BSc PhD MB CLB MRCGP. Qualified from Dundee in 1997, worked previously in the Royal Navy. Joined the practice in September 2009 as a partner. He is now working as a part time, salaried GP. GMC No:4439934

Dr Rebecca Paterson

BMBS, DRCOG, MRCGP. Graduated in 2010 from Brighton and Sussex and completed her training at QA hospital.  Joined the practice as a GP registrar at the beginning of 2014 and became a Partner in August 2015. GMC No:7082485

Dr Paul Burgess

Qualified, MBBS, from St Thomas' Hospital Medical School in 1984 and worked in Medway and spent 1 year in a missionary hospital in Rwanda. Completed GP training in 1990 and worked as a Partner from 1991 in Battersea then from 1998 at Gosport Medical Centre. Passed DCH, MRCGP and MA. GMC No: 3013089

Dr Emma Taylor

BM Dr Taylor graduated in 2013 from University of Southampton and completed her training at The Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital, Exeter. Dr Taylor joined Gosport Medical Centre in September 2018 and became a partner in April 2019. GMC number 7413932. 

Dr Rebecca Gale

Dr Gale started her career within the financial industry and came to medicine later in life. She graduated from Southampton University, where she worked at Southampton General Hospital as a House Officer for 2 years. Dr Gale then progressed to the Portsmouth area on the GP registrar training and will be with us for the next 18 months.  GMC number: 7456100
